HMy names Dan Morris, ive owned this car for about 6 months now, i bought it as a nearly finished project from a friend of my ex, since then ive poured every penny i have into finishing this little beast off. and its worked..
The cars a 1989 GTE, thats about it for original bits.
The engine is a 2.0 16v from a 1990 astra GTE, its superchipped and has a BMC twin cone filter and powerflow custom exhaust, as well as a stainless manifold.
The cars recently been rolling roaded at Alwyn Kershaw in york, and pulled 182BHP @ 6812rpm.
Top speed is the limiter in fifth, 138mph. (F20'box)
Its runnin on 6x16" Irmscher softstars, with 195 45 16 eagles F1's on the front, and Michelin pilot sx-gt's on the back.
Avo coilovers on the front give the best turn in ever, backed up by spax adjustables on the back, im sure it picks a back wheel up now and then!.
Stoppage comes courtesy of astra 16v discs and calipers all round, with 6 groove discs on the front.
The bodykit is all GSI including a full facelift with an Ibiza Cupra splitter and astra GSi functional bonnet vents.
Clear clusters on the back really make the car shine from the back, and the back bumper may look a bit crooked on this photo, its been fixed since (new bumper) cos im a perfectionist.
Moving inside, the interior comes from a '92 GSi, including doorcards and carpet, also a MK2 dash from the same fits perfectly, and really brings the car bang up to date.
The momo race steering wheel and digital dash can be seen on this photo but its a bit blurry, the wheel has since been removed cos it was a present and the cars for sale..
Stereo consists of an Alpine flip front headunit with 6 disc changer in the glovebox, A Genesis Profile four amp spanks DLS R5 components in the front doors, and a Cerwin Vega! 124 sub is driven by a hidden Kenwood KAC-726 amp, all of it was installed by myself using the MDF left in the boot by previous owner! there Pioneer 6x9's in the shelf but i dont use them cos it upsets the sound staging in the car, and its LOUD anyway!
